These practices rest on important ‘processes and proficiencies’ with longstanding importance in mathematics education,” (CCSSM Website). Using research-based strategies for putting the process standards into practice while connecting the content to the mathematical practices is critical if teachers want to develop solid mathematically proficient students. In this program, tasks will be modeled that focus on the Expressions and Equations domain from the CCSSM.
